These two gentlemen and their horse are a great example of horses as companion animals. Once in a while I get the question 'is it weird I don't ride my horse?' or 'do you think I'm crazy to spend so much money on this old horse I can't even ride anymore?' Horses live a long time (over 30 years sometimes) and people get very attached. I've seen some people who were attached to their horses but these guys have taken it to another level.
